Luke Halpin was 15 when he won the role if 12 year old Sandy Hicks in the 1962/3 film Flipper a role he reprised in both the film sequel the 1964 TV series by the same name.
Following an acting career that spanned three decades, Halpin became a speed boat pilot and stunt man in feature films including Never Say Never Again, Porky’s Revenge!, Flight of the Navigator and Speed 2: Cruise Control as well as for the television series Miami Vice.
Halpin also had a cameo appearance in the 1996 feature film remake of Flipper which starred Elijah Wood as Sandy Ricks.
